“Supporting Children in Their Way of Life.”
Our Services
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy
Paediatric occupational therapy supports children in developing the skills they need to participate in everyday activities at home, at school, and in the community. Therapy may focus on areas such as fine and gross motor coordination, play and social interaction, emotional regulation, sensory processing, and self-care.
Using a strengths-based, play-focused, and neuroaffirming approach, occupational therapy recognises and respects each child’s unique neurodevelopmental profile. Rather than trying to "fix" differences, therapy aims to understand and support the individual—helping to build confidence, independence, and a strong sense of self. Support is always tailored and collaborative, working closely with families, educators, and other professionals to create meaningful, respectful, and lasting outcomes.
Allied Health Assistant
Allied Health Assistant (AHA) Support
Allied Health Assistants work under the guidance of Occupational Therapists to support children in achieving their therapy goals. They help deliver play-based therapy activities, practice skill-building tasks, and provide consistent support during sessions to enhance each participant’s progress and independences.
How we work as Occupational Therapists & Allied Health
Our approach is grounded in neurodiversity-affirming practice, which means we value and respect each participants unique way of engaging with the world. We work through activity-based and participant-led approaches, aiming to create a safe, fun, and supportive environment where everyone can feel understood, accepted, and motivated to connect.
OT often involves engaging in hands-on activities and does look a lot like playing or completing everyday tasks in a different way – and that’s exactly what we’re doing, while also working on important OT skills at the same time. Through play and hands-on activities, we build trust, support development, and promote engagement in meaningful ways that are tailored to each participants interests and needs.
It’s important to understand that OT is an ongoing process. Building rapport and connection can take time, and these early sessions are a crucial part of laying the foundation before working toward specific goals. Every person moves at their own pace, and we honour and respect that in all of our sessions.
